About the Event

Public informational meeting hosted by Pulte Homes to provide a chance for the public to speak about the requested changes to the Rural Settlement Area Overlay District outlined in petition TCP-24-04.

Currently the RSAOD supports:

  • Up to 6,000 residential units through density transfers from environmental sensitive land
  • 500,000 square feet of commercial space
  • 1 million square feet of regional economic development uses
  • Restoration and preservation of environmentally sensitive lands

Pulte wants to propose the following changes:

  • Increases the total number of residential units by 2,000
  • Increases the total square footage for regional economic development uses by 500,000 square feet
  • Modernizes form of development criteria

I personally don’t feel that we/ anyone should attend. Going and telling them what our issues are gives them a chance to counter and have an answer ready to our complaints. I would seriously urge everyone to consider NOT GOING. I’ve been on the Pulte side and know that hearing our issues only allows them to have an argument ready when the commissioners hear both sides and make their decisions. We don’t want them to have the answers to the questions before the test.

I agree Karina but I would like to go to hear their pitch WITHOUT divulging my concerns. Not sure if that is possible. Not sure.

It looks like there are two meetings. Sept 2 and Sept 8.
